Cheers to 1 year of homosexual audacity

This month marks a year of OverEasy. To mark the moment, we put together a series of thoughts to highlight the now and reflect on what lies ahead for us in 2027.
There’s this internet meme I often point myself to whenever there’s a little crack in my confidence: “Homosexual Audacity.” The meme originated from @marcsebastianf and in the video they go on to say, "No, I've never done that, but I am gay, so how hard could it be?"
Starting a creative studio has taken a lot of that kind of audacity, and it’s worked. A year in, we have worked with over ten clients with projects ranging from designing stickers and fan merch for ACLU of Oregon’s pride collection to developing design systems for Ruggable to building a brand from scratch with Muninn.
We launched a merch shop! Our merch shop is an opportunity to express ourselves without a brief. Support our queer fantasies at overeasy.agency/market.
We’ve also had the opportunity to partner with a diverse range of contractors supporting various projects like motion design, copywriting and narrative development, experiential design for an international conference, email marketing, and social media creative. Eek, ok, I won’t get carried away, but we’ve accomplished a lot that I’m proud of.
That doesn’t mean we haven't had losses too. We’ve had clients ghost us and pitched work that went to another studio. But we learn and move on. Lost opportunities aren’t something that will haunt the studio in future engagements.
Through all this, we uncovered two important client needs in 2026: brand expressions that welcome a curious mind and creative systems that last past the brief.
Meaning businesses crave creative that’s uniquely their own and not something that can be generated with a prompt. And they need a custom kit of parts that in-house teams can use to be more effective. We’re excited to champion in-house teams, whether it’s a solo entrepreneur or a marketing crew looking for some relief. When we get to help make these teams heroes of their own brand, we know we’re doing something right.
Thanks for being along for the ride. See you on the flip-flop.
