Design System ✷ Brand Expression ✷ Visual Design
APA needed to modernize and extend its visual expression while preserving the authority, accessibility, and consistency expected of a national medical association. The system had to grow to cover more channels and formats, but every extension risked diluting the brand governance and accessibility standards a professional health care body depends on.
OverEasy led all visual design and creative ideation for the brand expansion.
We worked as the creative partner within Ratio's engagement with APA. We expanded the visual system and translated it into practical, governed tools teams could actually use across channels, turning brand guidelines into a working toolkit rather than a static document.
Clear production rules so the system could scale
The centerpiece was an 82-page brand system guide covering visual standards, accessibility, governance, AI guardrails, and measurement, paired with presentation layouts; modular email, one-sheet, social, and digital templates; and clear production rules so the system could scale without a designer in the loop every time.
Final deliverables included working PowerPoint, InDesign, and Canva files, along with production-ready PDFs, giving internal teams and external partners a flexible system that could scale without weakening brand governance or accessibility.
