Originally launched by The Oregonian, Dumpling Week has grown into a citywide celebration of food and culture — now independently led and creatively stewarded by OverEasy. Each February, the event brings together more than 40 Portland restaurants for a week dedicated to dough-wrapped specialties.
With dozens of participating restaurants and thousands of diners, Dumpling Week needed a cohesive identity that could unify the experience while still leaving room for individual restaurant stories to shine.
The challenge was creating a system that felt both editorial and accessible — something that could scale year after year while remaining rooted in authenticity, craft, and community.
OverEasy leads the creative direction for Dumpling Week, coordinating closely with participating restaurants and refreshing the event’s digital and physical touchpoints each year.
This work includes maintaining and updating the event website, designing the annual Dumpling Week passport, and creating supporting collateral and promotional materials. The imagery emphasizes process, texture, and human moments, grounding the event in real kitchens, real people, and real food.
